Damn Good Ads is a curated directory of the best advertising ever made: commercials, online films, posters, print ads, billboards and stunts from the 1880s to today. Every entry explains, in plain English, why the work is studied, and every claim is backed by sources listed on the same page.

What's on every page

Each ad page gives the brand, year, agency and medium; the line it is remembered for; a short explanation of why it works; the people who made it, where credits are documented; links to watch or view the original; and the sources behind every claim.

What we don't do

We don't host anyone's ads. Videos are embedded from YouTube or linked to their official source, and still images are shown from their source with credit. Where no reliable image exists, the page shows a typographic card built from the ad's own line, never a recreated or AI-generated picture.
